Department of Information and PR, J&K tweeted the decision of Govt. scrapping the examinations for the recruitments of FAAs and JE Civil.
The prevailing scenario of two back to back cancellation of examinations for recruitment of Sub inspector Jammu and Kashmir Police followed by Finance Account Assistant and JE Civil is a fit example of “what if , the Govt is theirs, the system is still ours”. Despite of Govt’ s zero tolerance towards corruption their seems no imminent end to corruption in small territory like Jammu and Kashmir. The current dispensation in UT of Jammu and Kashmir headed by Hon’ble LG Sh.Manoj Sinha and beaurocracy headed by one of the finest and highly acclaimed and honest beaurocrat Sh. Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS but the tentacles of corrupt system are so deep and widespread that their presence hardly seems to make any difference.
Conducting these exams at the expanse of state exchequer and then cancellation is serious blow to the administration and raises questions on administration and leadership alike.
The tweet further added that a CBI probe has been recommended into the selection process. Govt has also assured the aspirants that culprits will not be spared and there won’t be any compromise on merit.
